Welcome to my class website. Please check back often for updated information. I typically update weekly, to show the current and next week calendars. (I say typically because there is the odd time it slips my mind.) Click on the tabs above for specific information and links. I have an open door policy, so please come see me with any questions or concerns. You can also email or call me at the school. Very important, please check your child's planner every day even if some days we do not write in it.  I will typically write on Monday for the upcoming week events and we will put important papers in the front pocket. Planners have not arrived yet. Please send a water bottle each day so your child can have it on their desk and drink regulalry.

​Daily Homework/ideas for practice:

  • Read 30 minutes every night.  Read to them and have them read a book at their level to you. Take turns reading, have fun. Children learn from listening to reading. Check for their comprehension, ask them questions to see what they remember. Have them reread if needed. We have been working on making connections while you read. (RAZ KIDS)
  • Practice knowing your doubles and family facts for magic 10(1+9, 2+8, 3+7, etc) 
  • ​Math- practice quick recall of basic addition and subtraction facts
  • Practice adding and subtracting with regrouping
  • ​Practice multiplication facts ( this is a very important one we will start this term 2) 
  • Practice telling time on an analogue clock
  • ​Practice tying shoes if your child does not know how to tie.
  • Know your days of the week and months
  • Write a story with a beginning, middle, and end or a journal entry​

Class Schedule


Gym:
We have PE on  Tuesday and Wednesay each week. Please make sure your child has proper runners on to wear in the gym. They won't be able to participate without proper footwear. 

Library: 
We have Library on Friday. Please remind your child to bring their library books back on Fridays, so they can choose new books. Make a safe place for your child to keep their library books and home reading books.
